The Overwhelming Task of Choosing the Right Destination
Back when I decided to study abroad, I thought my biggest challenge would be adjusting to life in a new country. But it turns out, the hardest part was actually deciding where to go in the first place, as there are so many options! I spent hours researching programs and trying to figure out which destination would be the best fit for me—academically, personally and financially. Thinking about admission requirements and finances took a lot of time.
Studies in Finland, Estonia and Latvia
I first started studying medicine in 2013 in Latvia but later realized that I was interested of more social sciences and law studies. I started in 2014 law studies in Tallinn University in Helsinki Campus and later on I did my master in University of Tartu, in Tallinn. I graduated in 2019. I was first thinking about applying to United Kingdom to do my LL.M there but the tuition fees were too high and family far away. Studying in University of Tartu was the best option for me and the study programme was interesting too. I hold now both bachelor and master's degrees in law.
I have also studied in University of Eastern Finland. After additional studies, my law degree was recognized in Finland. As I have always been eager about business related topics as well, I studied Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences and graduated in 2021.
I've done also a lot of study and career guidance for my friends and family during the years, so therefore I studied professional teacher qualification and graduated in June 2024. I feel that this education combination is perfect for me, as I work in the fields of education and law. I have a genuine passion for guidance work.
In my line of work it is essential to know a lot of education systems, study programmes, study and career guidance, cultures, social security systems and different type of immigration laws. Due to my education and work experience, I am able to give comprehensive and professional guidance related to study, career and law related questions.
Why Immigration Matters Are So Complex—and How We Simplify It
One of the things I’ve learned working with immigration law is that every little detail matters. Immigration isn’t just a one-size-fits-all process. There are so many different types of permits depending on your situation, and every country has its own set of rules.
We know what it takes to make sure everything’s done right—because when it comes to visas and permits, a single mistake can cause huge delays.
Me and Miika (other co-owner) started Fidebon with the goal of making these processes simpler, smoother, and less stressful for students, employees and employers. We’ll check every document, guide you through the bureaucracy, and give you peace of mind that your school/ residence permit application has the best possible chance of being approved.
More Than Finland: Promoting Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania as Study Destinations
One thing we’re passionate about at Fidebon is shining a light on some often-overlooked education gems: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and of course, Finland itself. These countries offer world-class education, but not enough people know about the opportunities here.
We help students not only move from Finland to other study destinations but also welcome international students to these countries. Whether you’re drawn to Finland’s globally renowned education system or the growing academic hubs in the Baltics, we’re here to guide you every step of the way. We believe in making these countries more famous for their educational opportunities—and that’s a mission we take seriously. We offer comprehensive, affordable and tailor made study abroad and legal consultation.

Our Journey, Your Future
So, that’s the story of Fidebon. It all started with my own study abroad journey and idea that these kind of guidance services are needed. The idea to build this company started also from the experiences both Miika and I have had working with immigration matters and helping students/employees/employers navigate challenging immigration processes and to bring more international talent to Finland and to the Baltic countries. I am grateful to have Miika as a co-owner at Fidebon.
We know that every student’s or employees path is different, and we’re here to provide the personalized guidance you need. Whether you’re thinking about where to study, work, navigating immigration paperwork, or planning for your career after graduation, Fidebon is here to support you every step of the way.
